Land & Yoga Statements

I live, play and work on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples; the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. With honour, respect and learning, I acknowledge these Indigenous people as the stewards of the land in which I reside and the history we have with the land and colonialism. This is a small but essential step in moving forward with respect for all Indigenous peoples, past, present, and future.

Yoga is an ancient, holistic philosophy, a spiritual practice, a tradition developed in what is modern-day India.
In modern times Breathwork relates to Pranayama within Yogic traditions from south Asia, the Kemetic yoga traditions from east Africa Kametic, and various breathing practices/techniques from around the world. I offer deep acknowledgement and honour to the wisdom that has been lovingly engaged with and passed on for thousands of years.
I am fortunate and grateful to the many practitioners and teachers I have studied under. I commit to continued learning and exploration
